Cosplay Noob: Sailor Neptune casual cosplay

Guess what I decided to buy?!

This is going to be the start of my body/top for my upcoming Sailor Neptune cosplay. Honestly it just came and I was up and trying it on in no time! Though I have doubts about it I'm sure I can work with it. 

Firstly, the fabric is suuuuuper see through. Even wearing beige underwear (and shape wear, for medical reasons) I can see things through it. Secondly I feel it's a little flimsy. Because it's a bodysuit it has poppers on the crotch area and these don't feel very secure and feels cheap. All in all not a good buy but I didn't want to wear just a tshirt and have gathering, being too much of a perfectionist here but I really want to have a proper try at this.

I know, I'm gonna have to fix the skirt too.... Or not... This is supposed to be a casual cosplay after all. I can't help it XD Honestly I'm in two minds, if I can just do the body I would be more than happy but also I would want to make everything go with the original, go full out and do it right instead of a half arsed casual cosplay. 

Only things to get done now are shoes, the "armour", bows and scarf.

Guess what arrived today! MY SKIRT!!!

So just to remind you this is what colour was on eBay:

I was concerned about the colour. BUT THEN I GOT THIS:

To be honest this is the perfect colour I think, for Sailor Neptune's skirt. 

Now all I need to do is figure out what to do about the top half. I already know I'm going to take the skirt out with me to get the correct colour collar and bows, so maybe take it out to get at tshirt. Main issue here is getting a tshirt that not only fits well, but has th correct neckline.

I've looked on eBay and there are body suits. BUT they only do a scoop necked short sleeved bodysuit. Any v neck searches have a super deep v neck and/or has a modest v neck but has long sleeves. I could cut them but I don't want to mess it up.
